I have a simple question for my doctor. What is the best way to contact the office?
The easiest way to send a message to your doctor is through the patient portal. Our phones can get extremely busy. Sending a message through the portal alleviates your waiting to leave a message with an operator. Once your question is reviewed by your doctor, a medical assistant will call you with an answer, This will often be at the end of the work day.
I haven’t been seen by my doctor in over three years. I called to make an appointment and my doctor is not taking NEW patients at this time. Am I considered a NEW patient? Do I have to choose another doctor and fill out NEW PATIENT forms?
Yes. You are no longer considered an active patient if you haven’t been seen by a doctor in three years. If the doctor you were seeing is not accepting NEW patients, you will have to choose another doctor who is accepting NEW patients and fill out NEW PATIENT forms.
